3.1 Provides comprehensive and diligent neurosurgical care to all assigned patients including pre- and postoperative care and such neurosurgical procedures as are within incumbent's competence.
3.2 Performs professional duties at the OPD at which outpatient neurosurgical care is to be rendered to patients.
3.3 Provides consultation services to physicians and other surgeons and
3.4 Assumes after-hours responsibility for the care of neurosurgical cases and makes daily rounds for those
hospitalized.
3.5 Refers to, or consults with, other neurosurgeons on those cases that require more specialized diagnostic
or therapeutic procedures.
3.6 Adheres to the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Medical Department and assures that work
performed is in keeping with the established standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals.
3.7 Consults with the anesthesiologist on the choice of anesthesia to be used.
3.8 Maintains complete and accurate records of all cases.
3.9 Participates in and contributes to in-service activities such as lectures, conferences and rounds.
