As a Consultant Cardiologist, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients dealing with various heart conditions. Your specialized knowledge and clinical acumen will be critical in delivering effective treatment and improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patients' cardiovascular health through comprehensive consultations and examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including ECGs, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests
- Diagnose diverse cardiovascular diseases and develop tailored treatment strategies
- Administer medications, recommend lifestyle changes, and coordinate care plans with other healthcare providers
- Perform and assist with invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures, including catheterizations and interventions
- Monitor post-operative patients and provide ongoing management and follow-up
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Engage in continuous education and research in cardiology to stay abreast of advancements in the field
