As a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon, you will be tasked with diagnosing and treating complex cardiac conditions, performing advanced surgical procedures, and ensuring comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care. Your contributions will be fundamental in delivering exceptional outcomes for patients with heart diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostics to determine the best surgical options for patients.
- Perform a variety of complex cardiac surgeries including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, and heart transplants.
- Provide ongoing patient management, including pre-operative planning and post-operative follow-ups.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthetists, and nursing staff in a multidisciplinary approach to care.
- Engage in research and continuously update practices based on the latest advances in cardiac surgery.
- Mentor and train junior medical staff and surgical residents.
