Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Conference Coordinator to join our Design and Hospitality Division. This role involves supporting the planning, organization, and execution of conferences and events tailored to the design and hospitality sectors. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams and speakers to ensure seamless event delivery that aligns with dmg events' standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- DTCM Process Management: Oversee the entire Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) process, ensuring all conferences comply with local regulations and obtain necessary approvals.
- Conference Management Platform Administration: Manage and maintain the conference management platform, ensuring accurate data entry, seamless functionality, and user-friendly interfaces for attendees and stakeholders.
- Panel Decks Creation: Develop and design comprehensive panel decks for conference sessions, ensuring content is engaging, informative, and aligns with event themes.
- Production Assistance: Assist in the planning and execution of existing conferences or launch conferences, collaborating with the production team to ensure all elements are delivered effectively.
- Stage Management: Serve as the stage manager during shows, coordinating with speakers, performers, and technical staff to ensure smooth transitions and adherence to schedules.
- Onsite Event Support: Provide comprehensive onsite support during events, addressing speaker inquiries, coordinating with AV teams, and ensuring all logistical aspects run smoothly.
- Topic Research and Theme Generation: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends and audience interests to propose relevant topics and generate compelling themes for upcoming conferences.
- Awards Assistance: Coordinate award ceremonies, manage nominations, liaise with judges, and ensure the recognition process is executed flawlessly.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in event planning or coordination, preferably within the design or hospitality sectors.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Bilingual is preferred
