Daikan Izakaya, Yas Bay a premier destination for Japanese cuisine, is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Commis 2 to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes under the guidance of senior kitchen staff, contributing to our reputation for exceptional food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and marinating, according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Cooking Assistance: Support chefs during food preparation and cooking, following established recipes and cooking techniques to ensure smooth service.
- Kitchen Organization: Help maintain a clean and organized work area, facilitating a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Properly store and label ingredients to adhere to food safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate and manage workload during peak hours.
- Learning and Development: Stay actively engaged in learning new cooking techniques and skills from senior chefs. Seek feedback and guidance to improve culinary skills and knowledge.
- Hygiene and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
