Daikan Izakaya, Yas Bay, a premier destination for Japanese cuisine, is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Commis 1 to join our culinary team. You will support the kitchen staff in all aspects of food preparation, contributing to our commitment to delivering outstanding dishes to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Ingredient Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients by peeling, chopping, and slicing under the direction of senior chefs. Ensure all ingredients are ready for efficient cooking during service.
- Culinary Assistance: Support the kitchen team during service by helping with cooking and plating dishes, following established standards and recipes.
- Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation practices throughout the kitchen.
- Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and learn about various cooking techniques and methods. Seek feedback from senior staff to improve culinary skills.
- Inventory Support: Assist with the organization and inventory of kitchen supplies, ensuring all ingredients are stored properly and tracked for freshness.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times. Communicate effectively to keep workflow efficient.
