Job Description

Our client is a well-established UAE local brand specializing in the distribution of over 5,000 SKUs to the HoReCa sector.


We are hiring a UAE experienced mid-level B2B commercial manager from the HoReCA food service sector to join their Dubai head office to oversee the sales and account management to enhance the service delivery to strengthen the brand value.


The successful candidate will be strategic and manage a 25 person sales team across all UAE emirates and have P&L responsibility.


Candidates must have deep expertise in (1) category management, (2) developing do-to-market strategies (3) business development and account management and (4) brand development.


Role Summary


  • Category management – manage product assortment, pricing, promotions and inventory to optimize category performance and accelerate sales volume and profit.
  • Sales leadership - develop go to market strategies and roadmaps to increase volume sales within new and existing clients.
  • Account revenue and profit performance reviews – category reviews to evaluate revenue and profit achievement against forecasts and targets.
  • Marketing – collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective product positioning and communication strategies.
  • Brand partnerships – identify new brand partnerships/, strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • New products – identify new product ranges based on market gaps, customer preferences and feedback and emerging market trends; opportunity and ROI analysis, supplier selection and management.
  • New product launches – develop and execute competitive sales and marketing action plans for new products launches in local markets.
  • Team leadership – hire, develop and enable the sales team to deliver their KPIs and manage their performance.

Mandatory Skills & Experience


  • 10 – 15 years’ commercial leadership in business development, sales and category management in the food sector in HoReCA.
  • Strong financial and commercial skills – negotiation, data driven, analysis and risk management.
  • Expertise in evaluating category performance, leveraging KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures related to pricing, margin analysis, demand forecasting, inventory management and profit optimization.
  • UAE driving license is mandatory.

Candidate Profile


  • Currently living in the United Arab Emirates- must be able to live and work in Dubai.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Professional work ethic, appearance and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial with a “hunter” mindset;results and self-driven.

Education


  • Bachelor’s degree is mandatory
