Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Wood Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machines for wood processing, ensuring precision cutting, milling, and engraving based on technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain CNC routers/machining centers for woodworking.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and design specifications.
- Set up tools, materials, and machine parameters to ensure accurate production.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments for precision.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
- Ensure quality control by inspecting finished products for accuracy and defects.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines for machine operation and material handling.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and production teams to optimize workflow.
Skills
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Wood Operator or similar role in woodworking.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machine setup.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
- Familiarity with woodworking tools, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in CNC machining.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or VCarve.
- Knowledge of different types of wood and their machining properties.
- Previous experience in a furniture, cabinetry, or woodworking industry.
