Job Purpose


Taking responsibility for all enquires relating to meetings and events within the hotel and to maximize the revenue opportunities and exceeding guest expectations and to provide administrative support to the Unit.


  • Handle queries through telephone, fax, and email
  • To provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Paramount Hotels Guidelines
  • To perform all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work according to the Units SPPs which are reviewed and changed on a regular bases reflecting change in trends, guest expectations and operating philosophies.
  • To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
  • To perform opening and closing procedures established for the Place of Work as assigned.
  • To ensure all event deposits are correctly input into the Opera System following guidelines
  • Event handling and follow-through
  • Ensure the standard template of responses is used when forwarding brochure requests and that enquiry handling follows the Paramount Hotels guidelines
  • Timeline for response back to client is defined by client expectations, which will vary for each request and must be confirmed with client at time of enquiry.
  • Ensure definite bookings are regularly chased to secure accurate numbers and the procurement of all required pre-payments
  • Conduct after events interviews at the conclusion of all events meeting set criteria in order to solicit constructive feedback for the hotel team.
  • To assist in implementing a successful solicitation strategy to find and maintain group/M&E business that enables the hotel to meet and/or exceed revenue goals in meeting rooms and food and beverage.
Qualifications And Experience
  • 2 years minimum experience working in a multicultural / 5 star hotel environment
  • Ability to handle luxury guest volumes on a daily basis
  • Must be flexible and ability to work long hours
  • Creative and positive mind set
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Should have over two year experience in similar position
  • Experience in food and beverage or event field
