Job Specification:
The Learning and Development Manager will oversee the training and development programs . This role is responsible for ensuring that all employees receive the training necessary to excel in their roles and uphold the company's standards.
Duties and Responsibilities*:
Design, implement, and oversee learning and development programs across the three hotels within The Resort. Ensure effective onboarding processes for new hires to instill company values and culture. Develop and manage training schedules, ensuring all employees have access to necessary training. Evaluate and update training programs based on feedback and industry trends. Work with department heads to identify specific training needs and gaps. Ensure compliance with all legally required training and certifications, maintaining accurate records and documentation. Plan and manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources. Monitor expenses related to training programs and initiatives to ensure they are within budget. Ensure cost-effective utilization of training resources and materials. Develop and implement a strategic plan for learning and cultural development aligned with the goals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the hotel. Use data-driven approaches to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and initiatives. Collaborate with the Director of Learning and Culture to integrate cultural initiatives into business strategies. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure The Resort remains competitive in its training and development efforts. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees regarding career development. Promote a culture of inclusion, diversity, and continuous learning. Facilitate one-to-one coaching, training programs and workshops to enhance team cohesion.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful training programs. Strong understanding of hotel and resort operations and industry standards MS office Proficiency in learning management systems and training software.
