Cloud (Azure VDI)

The Technology Engineer will be embedded in the Cloud Platform and his/her primary responsibility and focus is the smooth functioning of technical operations of Cloud Platform.

Technology Engineer is responsible for evaluating and implementing orchestration, automation, and tooling solutions to ensure consistent processes and repetitive tasks are performed with the highest level of accuracy where cloud computing is concerned. The role involves active participation in architectural /design decision for the Public Cloud Providers, OpenShift Platform and Automation. Candidate should be proficient in AWS, Oracle and Azure Cloud services and infrastructure: Candidates should have a deep understanding of the AWS, Oracle and Azure platform, including its various services and infrastructure components. They should be able to design and implement solutions that make effective use of AWS/ Oracle and Azure.

The candidate will be providing technical expertise and support during critical incidents & problem management, and support work and mitigation of any security/risk observations. The Technology Engineer will closely work with the team for continuous development/implementation of new platform/services/features. The role is responsible for all aspects of platform delivery, Life Cycle Management, and performance. The Technology Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

He / She will be accountable for conducting knowledge sharing sessions for the team members and. In addition to that, the candidate will also be responsible for enhancing current documentation operations to improve the technology chapter engineering quality and standards.

•              Strong expertise on Public Cloud services such as VPC/VNETs, subnetting, routing, peering, Logging & Monitoring and VPNs for providers like AWS/Azure/Oracle.

•              Experience with cloud security best practices:  Candidates should have experience implementing security controls and following best practices for cloud security.

•              Understanding on Landing Zone Concepts, Networking fundamentals, Azure AD/IAM,Role Base Access and Security Control Policies.

•              Candidates should have hands-on experience deploying/managing OpenShift / Kubernetes platform on Cloud providers like AWS/Azure/Oracle.

•              Expertise on Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) using Terraform/Ansible for infrastructure as code.

•              Good Knowledge on Gitops principles using tools like ArgoCD.

•              Experience within complex environments defined by high availability, high transaction rate and geographical complexity.

•              Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug and resolve technical issues.

• Expertise with Cloud Public Cloud Providers (Azure/AWS/Oracle).
• AWS Services: Proficiency in a broad range of AWS services is required, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and others.
• Azure Services: Proficiency in a broad range of Azure services is also required, including Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Virtual Network, Azure Active Directory, and others.
• OpenShift: Experience with OpenShift for container orchestration is necessary. The candidate should be able to deploy, scale, and manage containerized applications using OpenShift.
• Jenkins: The candidate should have hands-on experience with Jenkins. They should be able to set up, configure, and manage Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Terraform: Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code is required. The candidate should be able to write and manage Terraform scripts to automate the provisioning and management of AWS and Azure resources.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Knowledge of CI/CD principles and practices is necessary. The candidate should be able to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud Security: Understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls in a cloud environment is important.
• Networking: Understanding of network architectures and services, including VPC, subnetting, routing, peering, and VPNs, is required.
• Monitoring and Alerting: Experience with monitoring and alerting tools in a cloud environment, such as AWS CloudWatch or Azure Monitor, is necessary.
