Job Description

Role Purpose:


As a Client Accounting Services - Team Lead at Alkazim, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing a team of bookkeepers to deliver accurate and timely accounting services for multiple clients. Your leadership will ensure the seamless execution of bookkeeping functions, compliance with accounting standards, and exceptional client service. With your expertise in accounting processes and proficiency with bookkeeping software, you will be pivotal in driving operational excellence and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of bookkeepers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, including the preparation of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage client onboarding processes, understanding their financial needs and establishing efficient workflows.
  • Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle complex accounting queries and provide technical guidance to the bookkeeping team.
  • Monitor and optimize internal processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their financial needs are met and fostering strong relationships.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and support the professional development of team members.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, including leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience managing client accounts and delivering financial services.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
