Civil & Roads Engineer

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

• Acting as the main technical adviser on infrastructure facilities like Roads and Civil works.
• Maintenance of the Road directional signage, Warning and Control signs per the ADM/DOT Standard.
• Checking technical drawings for adherence to standards and maintaining operational compliance.
• Operation and Maintenance of the infra & Recreation projects as per ADM standards.
• Ensuring all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
• Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials.
• Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design and specification.
• Liaising with any consultants, sub-contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
• Liaising with the local authority to ensure compliance with local stakeholders' regulations.
• Liaising with stakeholders and their representatives (engineers and management ), including attending regular meetings to inform them of progress.
• Planning the work and organizing the plant and site facilities to meet agreed deadlines.
• Overseeing quality control, health, and safety matters on site.
• Preparing reports as required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• A degree in civil engineering is required.
• 10 or more years of experience in managing similar packages.
• Ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work-related issues.
• Demonstrates a determination, desire to succeed and a wish to progress and develop.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite or Primavera.
• Excellent numerical and communication skills.
