Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead investment strategy and portfolio management for our client.
The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will be responsible for defining and executing the investment strategy, overseeing deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management. This individual will play a critical role in identifying high-potential investment opportunities, structuring deals, and collaborating with Limited Partners (LPs) and stakeholders. The CIO will drive investment decision-making, lead proposals to the Investment Committee, and contribute to building a world-class digital assets investment platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute the firm’s investment strategy in DeFi, blockchain, digital infrastructure, and Layer 1 technologies startups and scale-ups.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the investment lifecycle, from sourcing to exit strategies, ensuring optimal risk-return profiles.
- Deal Sourcing & Due Diligence: Identify, evaluate, and structure high-quality investment opportunities aligned with the firm’s vision.
- Investment Committee Leadership: Prepare and present investment proposals, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Capital Deployment & Risk Management: Ensure efficient allocation of capital while managing risk exposure across the portfolio.
- Stakeholder & Investor Relations: Work closely with LPs, institutional investors, and industry partners to enhance value creation.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, manage, and mentor a high-performing investment team to drive business success.
- Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to investment regulations and governance best practices.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, asset management, or related fields.
- Deep expertise in digital assets, DeFi, blockchain technology, and venture investments.
- Proven track record of leading successful investments and delivering strong returns.
- Strong network within the institutional investment and blockchain ecosystem.
- Experience in building and managing investment teams.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure compliance.
- Excellent financial acumen, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
