Chief Financial Officer (crypto industry experience required)

Hiring for a large crypto-currency company in Abu Dhabi.

Job Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive management team and responsible for the financial health of our company. They will provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, finance, and budgeting efforts of the company. The CFO will be responsible for developing financial strategies, managing financial risks, record-keeping, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in the continuously evolving landscape of cryptocurrency and block chain technology.

Responsibilities:

• Establish the company’s financial strategy and direction while being an integral part of the executive leadership team.
  
• Oversee all financial operations including accounting, treasury, corporate finance, and investor relations.
  
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  
• Manage the financial performance of the company by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; and minimizing the impact of variances.
  
• Develop financing strategies, plans, and procedures to fund the company’s growth and manage the risks associated with the cryptocurrency market.
  
• Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
  
• Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance & accounting functions of the organization.
  
• Maintain a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency markets, trends, and economic indicators.
  
• Steward the capital structure of the company, determining the best mix of debt, equity, and internal financing.
  
• Address issues related to cryptocurrency-specific financial matters such as token economics, blockchain-based accounting systems, and taxation.
  
• Collaborate with the legal team on compliance and regulatory matters, including those specific to the crypto industry.
  
• Contribute to strategic discussions and decision-making regarding the company’s business model, product offerings, and expansion plans.
  
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
  
• Develop and implement sophisticated policies and procedures both in the finance and general operational realms.
  

• Extensive experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven track record of success.
  
• Strong understanding and experience with blockchain technology, cryptocurrency markets, and related financial regulations.
  
• CPA or CFA certification is highly desirable, along with a relevant Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  
• Minimum 10+ years of experience, with atleast 4+ years of experience in the related field.
  
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams across finance, accounting, and possibly IT departments.
  
• Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles, including a deep understanding of international finance operations.
  
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience in building relationships with partners, shareholders, and financial institutions.
  
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills, capable of creating and managing financial models and budgets.
  
• Experience in crafting financial strategies and knowledge of all legal, tax, and regulatory issues within the cryptocurrency space.
