Job Description

Job Title: Chief Accountant

Location: UAE

Experience: 5+ Years

Salary: Depends upon experience

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and UAE financial regulations.
  • Supervise and guide the accounting team in day-to-day operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
  • Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and financial forecasting to optimize financial performance.
  • Ensure timely filing of VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory financial obligations.
  • Conduct financial audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement internal financial controls to enhance efficiency and minimize risks.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies for compliance matters.
  • Support management with financial planning, cost control, and investment strategies.
  • Stay updated with local and international financial regulations and ensure adherence to best accounting practices.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the UAE.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA are highly preferred.
Skills Required:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Tally.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple financial tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to interact with management, auditors, and external stakeholders.
