We are looking for a very skilled and experienced Chemical Engineer for one of our Sail company client  in Al Ain.  A Chemical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing chemical processes used in the production of various materials and chemicals. The role includes analyzing systems, conducting experiments, improving processes, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance in a manufacturing setting. Chemical Engineers may work in industries like petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, energy, food production, and materials science.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Design and Development
   

   
   
   • Design chemical processes and systems based on scientific principles.
     
   • Develop new production processes, improve existing processes, and scale them from laboratory to full-scale production.
     
   • Create and optimize process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other process documentation.
     

2. Process Simulation and Analysis
   

   
   
   • Use software tools like Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or MATLAB to simulate and analyze chemical processes.
     
   • Perform mass and energy balances, heat and material flow calculations.
     

3. Safety and Compliance
   

   
   
   • Ensure that all processes are designed, tested, and operated in compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
     
   • Conduct hazard and operability studies (HAZOP) and risk assessments.
     
   • Implement risk mitigation strategies for plant safety and emergency response.
     

4. Project Management
   

   
   
   • Oversee the implementation of engineering projects from concept to completion.
     
   • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) and external vendors to ensure project success.
     
   • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
     

5. Optimization and Troubleshooting
   

   
   
   • Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of existing systems and processes.
     
   • Identify opportunities for improving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
     
   • Troubleshoot operational issues, equipment failures, and process deviations.
     

6. Research and Development
   

   
   
   • Conduct experiments to explore new chemical reactions or materials.
     
   • Work on developing environmentally friendly alternatives, waste reduction methods, and energy-efficient processes.
     

7. Documentation and Reporting
   

   
   
   • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on process designs, trials, and outcomes.
     
   • Present technical findings to management, stakeholders, or regulatory authorities.
     

Education:

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Process Engineering, Industrial Chemistry).
  
• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering is a plus for advanced roles or research-oriented positions.
  

Skills and Competencies:

1. Technical Skills:
   

   
   
   • Strong knowledge of chemical process design, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and material science.
     
   • Proficiency with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, MATLAB, etc.).
     
   • Experience with control systems, automation, and data analysis tools.

Experience:

• Senior-level roles may require 5+ years of experience, with a proven track record in project management, process optimization, and leadership.
  

Work Environment:

• Chemical Engineers work in various settings, including laboratories, pilot plants, manufacturing facilities, or research and development centers.
  
• The role may involve working in hazardous environments, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
