La Murciana, a Spanish restaurant, is looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team and contribute to our journey of blending authentic Spanish culture into the vibrant and diverse community of the UAE.
Location: Our kitchen is located just 15 minutes walking distance from the metro in JLT.
Job Description:
Preparation and cooking of a variety of Spanish dishes, including hot kitchen items, sauces, meats, and vegetables.
Responsible for completing daily checklists related to mise-en-place and food storage.
Follow specifications and training provided by the supervisor.
Adhere to hygiene and safety procedures as outlined in the kitchen’s hygiene program.
Ensure that food hygiene, licensing, and safety standards are consistently followed, maintained, or exceeded at all times.
Use kitchen equipment (e.g., knives, machines) skillfully and safely, following correct procedures.
Set up and clean the service area (work tables, food, dishes, kitchen) and ensure strict adherence to hygiene standards during food preparation.
Complete handover and closing duties to ensure the kitchen is prepared for the next shift.
Monitor kitchen operations during service and resolve any issues that arise.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A proactive professional with a startup mindset.
Strong attention to detail and a desire to grow and build a career in the culinary industry.
Ability to multitask, cope well under pressure.
Good communication skills.
2-3 years of experience as a Commis Chef or in food preparation, with a focus on frying meats and vegetables, sauces, and baking.
