Job Overview:

We are hiring the helpers for one of our Catering client in Dubai.The Catering Helper is responsible for assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and event areas. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring that the catering operation runs smoothly and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Food Preparation Assistance:


    • Help chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, washing, and peeling vegetables, meats, and fruits.
    • Assist in organizing ingredients, utensils, and equipment for cooking.
    • Ensure all food items are prepared and stored according to food safety standards.
  2. Cleaning and Sanitization:


    • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen, storage areas, and serving areas.
    • Clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment after use.
    • Properly dispose of food waste and ensure waste areas are kept tidy.
    • Assist in maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
  3. Assisting with Setup and Serving:


    • Help with the setup of food stations and buffet areas for events or catering services.
    • Ensure food is presented neatly and attractively for guests.
    • Assist in serving food during events, ensuring smooth delivery and replenishment of food items as needed.
  4. Packing and Delivery Support:


    • Assist in the packing of food items for delivery to events or clients.
    • Ensure the correct packaging and labeling of food items to maintain quality and safety during transit.
    • Help with loading and unloading catering supplies and food delivery items.
  5. Stock Management:


    • Help check stock levels of food items and kitchen supplies.
    • Ensure proper storage of food items according to temperature and storage guidelines.
    • Report any inventory shortages or damaged items to the supervisor.
  6. Assisting with Event Coordination:


    • Assist with arranging and organizing food and beverage tables for events or parties.
    • Help in ensuring the smooth flow of food service during events.
    • Coordinate with servers to ensure that guests’ needs are met promptly.
  7. Customer Service:


    • Assist in offering excellent customer service by maintaining a polite, friendly, and professional demeanor.
    • Respond to customer requests or inquiries promptly and courteously, always prioritizing guest satisfaction.
  8. Health and Safety Compliance:


    • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards.
    • Adhere to safety protocols, especially when handling sharp objects, hot equipment, or chemicals.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Prior experience in a catering, food service, or hospitality role is preferred but not essential.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Language: Basic proficiency in English. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  • Education: No formal education is required, but a basic understanding of food safety standards is a plus.
  • Work Environment:
    • Ability to work in both kitchen and event settings, including outdoor locations, as required by events.
