Job Purpose
Surpass the cargo revenue target, by optimizing cargo mix, increasing yield, boosting load factor, leveraging network. Support revenue growth for assigned Hubs in liaison with Cargo Commercial team. Maximize capacity utilization & ensure correct cargo prioritization through load planning. Ensure high standard of service delivery in line with company’s overall objectives.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Manage cargo capacity optimization for respective airlines hub network. Responsibility involves in planning daily cargo, courier, special cargo, interline cargo, prioritization, load plan and monitoring/planning of offloaded shipment, by analysing and evaluating daily passenger loads and pre-booked baggage using airlines PSS and BI tool.
- Surpass agreed cargo revenue targets on assigned routes, through capacity control and yield management by optimizing commodity mix.
- Monitor OAL pricing by liaising with cargo sales team and other available platform. Discuss with line manager on adjustments / plan ad-hoc, short- and long-term pricing. Ensure cargo system is up to date with agreed changes.
- Ensure all forward booking request are raised, approved & tracked via cargo reservation system and to avoid any un-booked shipment on any flights.
- Analyse cargo commodity mix and yield trends to support pricing decision making.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly trends, tonnage, revenue reports.
- Track and follow up on day-to-day shipment requests raised by cargo sales, GSA, CSA to ensure optimum utilization of cargo capacity.
- Coordinate and manage intra-uae trucking requirements, to facilitate agreed cargo & VAL shipment for corporate business customers.
- Coordinate and be the point of contact with relevant GHAs at hubs and network, to ensure SLAs are followed, which impacts shipments. Highlight any backlog with relevant shipper/station. Conduct periodic checks when necessary.
- Manage VAL box & seals, pallets at hub and outstations.
- Monitor and perform constant checks to ensure pre and/or post flight messages are triggered on time by relevant GHAs at hub or network to avoid fines by authorities.
- Raise system related issues and follow up with relevant IT teams both internal and external. Provide feedback for system improvement when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Air Arabia’s policies, practices, and procedures.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Line Manager
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (in management would be an advantage).
Work Experience At least 5 years working experience in cargo revenue management and/ or sales, at least 3 of which in the airline industry in a similar role (experience in narrow-body/ low cost airline is an advantage).
Training in cargo pricing & capacity management is essential. Cargo operational experience is an advantage.
Knowledgeable in all IATA/ TACT regulations, airline cargo operations.
Proven skills in analysing data, identifying issues, and recommending effective solutions.
Demonstrate the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Fluent in English language.
Proven record of revenue optimization, increasing yield, achieving targets, & enhancing business performance.
Possess effective, persuasive, negotiation, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to use a balance of technical expertise, and interpersonal relations to execute new initiatives that support company’s objectives.
Capable of understanding market trends and utilizing them for effective and sustained revenue enhancement.
