About the role
The Assistant Restaurant Manager will be reporting to the Restaurant General Manager and is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and directing the work of employees in Cafe Milano Restaurant to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
This role involves responding to a wide variety of guest requests, accurately assessing their needs, and providing personalized recommendations and touches to achieve maximum guest's satisfaction.
What you will do
Main Duties/Description:
Select train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees, supervisors and assistant managers in the Hotel’s All Day or Fine Dining Restaurant to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Work closely with the Restaurant General Manager and Restaurant Chef to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed
Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by Restaurant General Manager or Hotel Manager.
What you bring
• A minimum of at least 2 to 3 years of experience in the similar role in a luxury brand
• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for hospitality and ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
• An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task
• High level of understanding and knowledge of food and/or wine
• Strong communication skills. Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
