<b>Business Unit Manager</b>. This key leadership role will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient outsourcing of drivers to various delivery businesses, and driving the expansion of the business. The Business Unit Manager will work closely with a team of Sales Specialists to generate new business, maintain client relationships, and optimize operational processes for continuous growth and success.
<b>Key Responsibilities:</b>
<b>Operational Management:</b>
- Lead, manage, and optimize the operations of the business unit, ensuring seamless driver outsourcing to multiple delivery businesses.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery process, from driver allocation to ensuring the timely and efficient execution of deliveries.
- Monitor and track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Implement and refine operational processes to enhance speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage a team of drivers and coordinate their activities, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of service.
<b>Business Expansion:</b>
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and drive the growth of the unit.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase the company's market share in the delivery sector.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and delivery businesses, acting as the main point of contact.
- Work with the sales team to create proposals, negotiate contracts, and secure long-term agreements with new clients.
<b>Team Leadership:</b>
- Lead and manage a team of sales specialists and operational staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
- Set performance targets for the team, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to ensure objectives are met.
<b>Financial Management:</b>
- Develop and manage the unit's budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Track and report on key financial metrics, ensuring targets for revenue, cost reduction, and profitability are consistently met.
<b>Client and Vendor Relationship Management:</b>
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Ensure vendors and delivery businesses adhere to contractual obligations, timelines, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management or business unit leadership, preferably in the logistics or delivery sector.
- Proven track record of successfully expanding business operations and driving growth.
- Experience in managing a team, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and team performance.
