ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
Global hunger has reached alarming levels in 2022, and WFP, the Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2020, remains dedicated and committed to address this global food crisis. the Supplier Relationship Management unit of the GCC WFP Office based in Dubai’s role will involve understanding WFP's current and future needs for food and non-food items, delivering a range of supplier engagement activities, conducting GCC market research and analysis, and effectively prioritizing supplier relationship management tasks.
Salary: Starting from AED 19,381.86 per month (inclusive of pension), plus medical insurance and other entitlements.
Duty station: Dubai, UAE
Duration of Employment: 12 months with possibility of extension.
This position is open for UAE nationals and/or those holding a valid UAE residency visa.
THE ROLE
To deliver a wide range of business support processes and activities for a specific professional area of work, to facilitate effective service delivery.
Under the supervision of the Supplier Relationship Management Officer, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
• Collate information for inclusion in reports, documents and correspondence, to support the effective work of other staff.
• Respond to standard queries and provide timely and accurate guidance.
• Process and manage routine administrative and financial tasks in various functional areas, to contribute to the effective and timely management of resources
• Manage and maintain records related to supplier interactions and performance, ensuring information is organized, accurate, and readily available for team use.
• Maintain relationships with a range of individuals including suppliers through provision of business support to assist in information sharing and service delivery to staff. Proof-read reports, documentation, correspondence, etc., making changes in line with established guidelines where appropriate.
• Contribute to improvement of business procedures and processes.
• Collect and perform basic analysis of data to contribute to quality business information management.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues in performing their duties.
OTHER POST REQUIREMENTS (details to be determined by Post Managers):
• Experience using corporate systems for data management.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications to support basic data capture, reviews, and reporting of information.
• Experience in supporting the development of presentations, reports, documents in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Previous experience in supplier relationship management activities is desirable.
• Certification in Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is an added advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.
Experience: Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.
Language: Fluency (level C) in English language. Knowledge (level B) of another official language will be an advantage.
