We are seeking a Business Solutions Controller to manage cross-functional business process-based projects with the aim of delivering them as per schedule and within cost budgets while conforming to project management and other principles adopted.
In this role, you will:
- Design and implement quality control standards and review mechanisms that can be used for the review of various internal systems, processes as well as across vendors, suppliers and partners with the aim of identifying key system and process improvements. The job holder will also lead cross functional teams in implementing these changes. This may require the job holder to challenge current business norms.
- Maintain all user owned system documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Identify changes required to the documentation as a result of system/ process changes; agree and document the new procedure with the affected departments
- Accountable for the creation of test cases and to identify system requirements for testing of the functional changes/developments of various applications. Assist the team to co-ordinate the set-up and communication between the application and the partner systems
- Conduct audits to ensure that identified changes have been effectively implemented. Ensure benefits from every improvement program are maximized and that all business improvement objectives are achieved in relation to qualitative and financial deliverables.
- Continuously monitor and update operational process changes due to people, commercial policy, handling agreement, policy, facilities, systems, or device changes.
- Coordinate and work with all internal/external stakeholders to ensure that everyone is well prepared to handle the changes and align business goals.
- Advise on productivity and process improvement opportunities provide operational and strategic business advice and influence operational departments to buy-in to the strategies.
- Amend current practices, processes or policies to achieve the identified cost savings and tangible results.
- Drive innovative solutions and ensure a collaborative approach with operations, systems, and external stakeholders, including the use of all SkyCargo express technological solutions
- Advise on productivity and process improvement opportunities and provide operational and strategic business advice. Influence senior managers to ensure that internal corporate departments buy-in to the strategies and amend current practices, processes or policies to achieve the identified cost savings and tangible results. Be the subject matter expert on all business system administration, integration and configuration aspects of the department systems and interfacing solutions. work with management in setting up systems to evaluate business unit performance against KPIs and lead operations business units to identify areas of weak performance and support line management in the design of performance improvement plans and setting relevant business standards.
- Organise, influence and facilitate process end-user requirements gathering with various sections within assigned department and other departments within Emirates in order to put in place system and process enhancements resulting in better operations, customer service, cost savings and/or end user productivity
- Provide technical systems administration and detailed business systems expertise and inquiry support on these systems.
- Conduct rapid impact analysis on proposed configuration/sys admin changes, and liaise with IT on assessing, prioritising and implementing application and technology changes.
