Job Description
Our client is a multinational IPP / IWPP infrastructure development company and currently recruiting an experienced mid-level Business Developer / Project Acquisition Leader from the IPP, IWPP, or PPP industry. The candidate must have general experience of commercial contracting and negotiations, a rich understanding of project acquisition and financing, and a background of technical knowledge.
Responsibility and Requirements- Responsible for overall project development and equity investors of the projects.
- Take lead roles and closely follow on developing newIPPprojects with a project size of at least several hundred million US dollars that have successfully reached financial close (through project financing).
- General and comprehensive knowledge about legal, financial, accounting, and technical matters about theIPPprojects is necessary.
- Capable of effectively co-working with teams consisting of internal members, consortium members, and external counsels/advisors throughout the preparation of project documents that are common forIPPprojects such asPowerPurchase Agreements, EPC contracts, O&M contracts, financing agreements, and joint venture agreement.
- Should be very familiar with project financing through which most of the large-scaleIPPprojects are financed.
- Negotiate detailed terms of financing agreements with financial advisors and potential lenders (local and international financial institutions).
- Review complex financial models created by financial advisors and discuss with them about the ways to optimize bidding pricing or levels of return for sponsors/investors.
- Discuss briefly about technical aspects of theIPPprojects and lead or co-lead commercial negotiation with EPC and O&M contracts.
- Understand fundamental schemes as well as key terms in relation to EPC and O&M contracts that would affect the profitability of the entire projects or competitiveness of bids.
- Some experience in M&A deals about the existing (brown)powerprojects.
Requirements- Graduate / Post Graduate male having a minimum of 5-10 years of PQE experience in IPP/ IWPP/ PPP projects in the Middle East.
- Experience with an IPP / IWPP producer is mandatory.
