The Position

The Business Development Lead drives the country's commercial operations, setting strategies to achieve short- and medium-term sales goals aligned with company objectives. The role prioritizes business needs, allocates resources effectively, and ensures strong sales, account, and distributor management. Additionally, share best practices and focuses on channel partner team development to maintain a competitive edge.


Your Responsibilities


  • Own the implementation of a go-to-market Strategy in Iraq focused on increasing Roche market share, and achieve overall financial targets, within Iraq’s public sector in our Core lab, Tissue, Molecular, and Point of Care Solutions


  • Build partnerships with the channel partners to leverage their Go - to Market capabilities, and align with the local channel partners to achieve sales and financial targets of Iraq, in accordance with the company’s strategic goals


  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize opportunities within public sector institutions, including Government hospitals, labs, research facilities, and health departments


  • Work closely with the channel partner to create tailored approaches that meet public sector needs, and ensure alignment with government procurement processes and regulations


  • Guide the channel partner in preparing tenders, proposals, and presentations that target Public sector clients, ensuring compliance with local requirements


  • Analyze the competitive landscape and adapt the local strategy to maintain the competitive edge in the market, and communicates competitive market information internally


  • Develop customer prospects, create and maintain relationships with decision-makers, to generate demand and maximizes product awareness by working with and providing education and information are available to our local channel partner


  • Demonstrate deep product knowledge and present product narrative to customers, and promote digital products and position the impact on the healthcare system and patients


  • Adaptable to understand different market challenges and opportunities to act accordingly towards the business priority


  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors


  • Focus on supporting the local channel partner in adding new customers (non Roche), developing new business, growing existing business, maintaining customer relationships and solving customer problems. This includes identifying and developing strategic account plans


  • Represent the company at industry events, government forums, and public sector meetings to raise awareness of our solutions


Compliance
You are expected to adhere through your conduct to all applicable laws and regulations as well as to the high integrity standards as set forth by Roche.
 


Who You Are


  • You hold a University degree in Medical, Biomedical, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or similar scientific. Post-graduate degree is preferred


  • You built a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a Sales, Business Development or related role


  • You are result oriented and focused on driving Sales and increasing market share


  • You have advanced communication, interpersonal, presentation and relationship building skills


  • You listen well, have advanced negotiation, persuasion, objection handling, and influencing skills


  • You have a growth mindset with the ability to think and plan strategically


  • You have advanced knowledge of all Roche Diagnostics (IVD) solutions, and are ready to promote and commercialize those solution. And you have deep knowledge of competitor landscape in Iraq


  • You are fluent in English and Arabic languages


  • You are flexible and willing to travel to Iraq on regular basis
