About the job Business Development Executive (Contractual role)

Our client is one of the major district cooling service providers in the UAE delivering world-class levels of reliability, efficiency, safety and environmental sustainability. They are looking to hire a Business Development Analyst on a 12 months renewable contract.


Job purpose


Assist in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities within the company. Support the Business Development team in project analysis, preparing financial models, conducting market research, and liaising with internal departments to develop strategies that drive growth and achieve company objectives.


Main tasks and responsibilities


Business Development Support:


  • Conduct thorough market research to identify business opportunities and industry trends.
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial proposals, project evaluations, and bid submissions.
  • Help review and analyze financial models for new projects, ensuring investment criteria are met.
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing legal documentation related to new projects.
  • Support the BD Manager in presenting new business opportunities to senior management.

Project Finance Assistance:


  • Support the BD team in establishing relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Assist in creating financial models for financing, and monitor project financing progress.
  • Help track and analyze financial documentation, ensuring timely completion of Conditions Precedent (CPs) and Conditions Subsequent (CS) required for loan drawdowns.

Policies & Procedures Compliance:


  • Ensure alignment with internal policies and procedures related to business development, project finance, and legal requirements.
  • Assist in documenting and reporting on any business development-related processes.
  • Health, Safety & Environment:
  • Ensure awareness of relevant HSE policies and assist in reporting safety incidents or near misses.

Qualification & Requirement


  • Bachelor's Degree in financial management, economics, business, or a related discipline | MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred but not required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in business development, project finance, or related fields, preferably in the District Cooling, Energy, Utilities, or Infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience supporting senior teams in project finance, market analysis, and client relations is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of financial modeling and market research.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools.
  • Basic knowledge of project finance and its application to capital investment.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams, handle client inquiries, and assist in negotiations.
