The Role

We seek an insight-generating and data-driven business analyst to drive operational planning and strategy with a hands-on, committed approach to ensure operations stay aligned with strategic objectives. In this position, you will conduct in-depth research, data analysis, and modelling to deliver insights and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Analysis and Advisory

• Gather and analyse internal and external data to identify market trends, risks, and opportunities
• Conduct competitive intelligence research, benchmarking studies, and industry research
• Build financial models and perform cost-benefit analyses to evaluate strategic alternatives
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to executive leadership on strategic priorities

Operational Planning and Execution  

• Develop comprehensive plans and roadmaps in support of company objectives
• Identify areas for process improvements, efficiency gains, and optimisation initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of operational strategies
• Define critical metrics, benchmarks, and tracking mechanisms to measure progress

Business Performance and Reporting

• Monitor business performance against strategic goals and performance indicators (KPIs)
• Analyse operational data and metrics to identify trends and areas requiring intervention
• Develop analysis, visualisations, and executive-level reports on strategic plan progress
• Communicate results of analysis and make actionable recommendations to leadership

Requirements & Skills

• MBA or related advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field from a reputable/highly rated University
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in strategy, business analysis, or management consulting
• Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in data mining, modelling, and statistics
• Proficiency in data visualisation and reporting tools
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
• Proven project management skills
• Excellent presentation and interpretation skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
