We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst to join our team, where you will play a critical role in mapping, analyzing, and documenting data flows, processes, and systems across our organization. In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders and developers to uncover and document processes and systems that may currently be incomplete or undocumented. You’ll work with various stakeholders, including those who may not be aware of their roles as data producers or consumers, to identify and translate data and system relationships into technical diagrams and requirements for our data warehouse and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to map, analyze, and document business processes, projects, and data flows.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing systems to identify and document gaps, undocumented processes, and systems, working with stakeholders to uncover data relationships.
Schedule, plan, and lead requirements gathering sessions, converting business needs into technical specifications for architectural and technical review.
Facilitate clear communication and understanding between stakeholders, project management, software leadership, and technical teams.
Assist in the creation of user stories, wireframes, and other documentation to support software development projects.
Help prioritize project tasks from a technical perspective.
Requirements
Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate information from multiple sources.
Proven ability to analyze existing IT systems, workflows, and processes to identify areas for improvement or optimization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps boards is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in requirement gathering tools and techniques.
Experience with documentation tools like Microsoft Visio or similar.
Ability to identify and document data flows and relationships within environments with organic or tribal knowledge.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts to aid in translating business requirements into data warehouse specifications is a plus.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst within a software development environment.
Experience in Managed Service Providers (MSP) is a plus.
Background in the Technology Industry is an advantage.
Experience working within the Microsoft ecosystem is beneficial.
