Building & Structure Senior Engineer

The Building & Structure Senior Engineer will be responsible for the supervision and leadership of Civil Engineers and to provide effective engineering and maintenance covering the building structures of stations, depots, system ancillary buildings, sub-stations, cutting embankments and walls, tunnels, car parks, signage, and related ground-level infrastructure for Keolis MHI Dubai Metro

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and direct the Civil engineers to achieve the Keolis-MHI business objectives.
• Lead the structural inspection rolling program by providing mentorship, on-site assurance checks, and the final review of inspection reports.
• Develop and implement structural inspection smoothing efficiencies within the Civil team.
• Support the Civil Manager in defining the asset management strategy for Civil assets.
• Follow the appropriate procedures and work instructions of maintenance to ensure compliance with the requirements.
• Assist the Civil Manager in maintenance planning and program building structure maintenance works.
• Assist subordinates with the job familiarization and to provide training and assessment where Required.

• Assist the Civil Manager regarding cost control and efficiencies.
• Support the Civil Manager in annual budget forecasting.

Stakeholder / Customer

• Support Keolis-MHI stakeholders.
• Where required, work with and support the requirements and objectives of the RTA/ SRA.

Operational

• Willing to travel around the Dubai Metro network as required.
• Attend accidents or incidents as required.
• Carryout on-site investigations.

Capability / People

• Conduct performance reviews, disciplinary and grievance for Civil Engineers, Building & Structure Inspectors and Building & Structure Maintenance Team Leaders.
• Conduct disciplinary and grievance for Building & Structure Inspectors, Building & Structure Maintenance Team Leaders and Building & Structure Technicians.
• Monitor absence and return to work follow-ups.

• Perform on-call duties where required to support the business needs.

Skills/Training

• Fluent in English.
• Strong IT skills, in  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Leadership/ management training courses.
• Holder of a valid UAE driving license with a good driving skill and experience.

Experience

• Preferably with a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in the maintenance of buildings and structures activities, such as building maintenance works implementation and review.
• Can demonstrate a sound technical understanding of the asset management activities carried out on the building structures of stations, depots, system ancillary buildings, sub-stations, cutting embankments and walls, tunnels, car parks, signage, and related ground-level infrastructure for Dubai Metro.
• Experience in supervising outsourced building structure maintenance subcontractors.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
