We are looking for an experienced BMS Engineer (BMS & TVCS) to join our Project Management Consultant (PMC) team. The role involves reviewing and approving the Building Management System (BMS) and Tunnel Ventilation Control System (TVCS) designs submitted by the D&B contractor, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards. The engineer will oversee the implementation, testing, and commissioning of these systems during the construction phase. Strong experience in BMS and TVCS within rail or metro projects, particularly in the UAE, is highly desirable.


Responsibilities:


  • Review and approve Building Management System (BMS) and Tunnel Ventilation Control System (TVCS) designs submitted by the D&B contractor, ensuring compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
  • Evaluate design aspects related to HVAC, lighting, fire and life safety, security, and energy management systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to the D&B contractor to address design deficiencies and enhance system performance.
  • Ensure that BMS and TVCS considerations are integrated into the overall project design and construction phases.
  • Oversee the implementation of BMS and TVCS during the construction phase, ensuring adherence to approved designs and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify the proper installation and functionality of BMS and TVCS components.
  • Monitor the D&B contractor's compliance with BMS and TVCS protocols, materials selection, and installation standards.
  • Coordinate with the D&B contractor to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to BMS and TVCS execution.
  • Supervise the testing and commissioning of BMS and TVCS to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Review and approve test plans, procedures, and results submitted by the D&B contractor.
  • Ensure that all BMS and TVCS are fully operational and compliant before project handover.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, including design drawings, test reports, and as-built drawings related to BMS and TVCS.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports, highlighting design review outcomes, risks, and next steps to project stakeholders and senior management.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all BMS and TVCS activities and ensure proper documentation is available for future reference.
  • Coordination and Communication:
  • Liaise with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated efforts for BMS and TVCS.
  • Provide training and support to project staff on BMS and TVCS best practices and quality control procedures.
  • Collaborate with other project teams to ensure seamless integration of BMS and TVCS with other project activities.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) and Tunnel Ventilation Control Systems (TVCS), preferably in rail or metro projects.
  • Proven experience in managing BMS and TVCS for large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of BMS and TVCS protocols, technologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • UAE project experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to join quickly is preferred.
