Job Description

Job Title: Biostatistician


Reports to: Research Manager


Location: Dubai


Job Summary:


GluCare Integrated Diabetes Center is seeking a highly skilled Biostatistician to support our clinical


research and data analytics efforts. The ideal candidate will work closely with our healthcare and


research teams to analyze patient data, design experiments, and contribute to data-driven decision-


making processes. This role is critical in advancing our mission to improve diabetes care through


innovation and technology.


Key Responsibilities:


● Data Analysis: Perform statistical analyses on clinical data, including patient outcomes,


intervention effects, and epidemiological studies.


● Study Design: Collaborate with clinical researchers to design studies, including randomized


controlled trials and observational studies, ensuring statistical rigor.


● Data Interpretation: Provide insights and actionable recommendations based on data, and


assist in the interpretation of statistical findings.


● Model Development: Develop and apply statistical models to support clinical decision-


making and predictive analysis.


● Collaboration: Work closely with clinicians, researchers, and IT teams to ensure accurate


data collection, integration, and analysis.


● Reporting: Prepare reports, charts, and presentations to communicate statistical findings to


clinical teams, stakeholders, and leadership.


● Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for clinical trials and


research, including ethical standards and data privacy regulations.


● Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of data collection and analysis


tools, ensuring continuous improvements in data quality and usability.


Qualifications:


● Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field.


● Proven experience as a Biostatistician in a clinical or healthcare setting, preferably in


diabetes or chronic disease management.


● Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, SPSS, or Stata.


● Strong understanding of clinical trial design, epidemiology, and data modeling.


● Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable


insights.


● Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical


and non-technical teams.


● Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations, including HIPAA and GDPR, is a


plus.
