Role purpose:
The BIBP will work closely with the management team to ensure the business achieves its strategic objectives. This individual will play a crucial role in promoting our Data & AI products and services while acting as the primary point of contact between the business and the Data & AI Center of Excellence (CoE). The ideal candidate will combine strong business acumen with a deep understanding of data, BI, and AI technologies, and be able to translate business needs into actionable insights and solutions.
While the role does not involve direct delivery of Data & AI products, the successful candidate will be a key advocate for the capabilities of these technologies and will educate business stakeholders on what is possible. They will manage the demand for data, analytics, and AI solutions within their business unit, and lead the collaboration between the central BI team and business unit resources.
Key responsibilities:
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the main liaison between the Data & AI CoE and the business units to ensure alignment and understanding of strategic objectives.
- Develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and collaboration.
- Collaborate with business leaders to define data and analytics needs, ensuring that solutions meet business goals.
Demand Management:
- Lead the demand management process for data, analytics, and AI resources from the business unit.
- Gather and prioritize business requirements, ensuring they are clearly articulated and translated into actionable data-driven initiatives.
- Work with the central BI & AI team to allocate resources and support the timely delivery of data and AI products and services.
Data & AI Education and Strategy:
- Educate business stakeholders on the foundations of Data & AI and help them understand the art of the possible.
- Provide guidance on how to leverage BI and AI technologies to drive business innovation and performance.
- Develop and communicate a strategic roadmap for data, analytics, and AI initiatives in alignment with business priorities.
Business Development & Analytics Leadership:
- Drive the growth of data and analytics capabilities within the business unit, identifying opportunities to integrate new technologies and improve decision-making.
- Lead the development and execution of business intelligence strategies, ensuring alignment with broader departmental and organizational goals.
- Use a strong analytical mindset to identify trends, uncover insights, and recommend data-driven strategies that improve business performance.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Leadership:
- Work collaboratively with the central BI team and AI experts to deliver tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of the business unit.
- Support the development and execution of AI and analytics projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact.
Financial Management:
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and identify areas for improvement.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas where processes can be streamlined or improved to increase productivity and cost-efficiency.
- Develop and implement business processes that support growth and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or (Master's preferred) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in business intelligence, analytics, or AI roles, with a strong emphasis on business partnership and strategic business development.
- Proven experience in working with data and analytics teams to define and implement BI/AI solutions.
- Strong understanding of data management, business intelligence, and AI technologies.
- Familiarity with BI tools and AI concepts is preferred.
