Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Beverage Preparation & Service:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to the hotel’s standard recipes.
- Offer recommendations and upsell premium drinks, signature cocktails, and bar promotions.
- Ensure consistent drink quality and presentation.
- Adapt to guest preferences by crafting customized drinks upon request.
2. Customer Service & Guest Interaction:
- Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere at the bar.
- Engage in friendly conversations, anticipate guest needs, and provide personalized service.
- Address guest concerns professionally and resolve issues efficiently.
3. Bar Operations & Hygiene Compliance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, tools, and glassware.
- Follow safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with HACCP standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock bar supplies, and report shortages to management.
- Ensure all beverages are served responsibly, adhering to legal alcohol consumption guidelines.
4. Cash Handling & Billing:
- Process guest orders accurately using the hotel’s POS system.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions while maintaining accurate billing records.
- Balance the cash register and reconcile payments at the end of each shift.
5. Team Collaboration & Training:
- Work closely with the bar team, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in regular training sessions on mixology, beverage trends, and customer service.
- Assist in training new bartenders and barbacks when necessary.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a hospitality or bartending certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of bartending experience in a luxury hotel or high-end bar.
