Job Summary


Our Client a 5* Hotel and Resort based in Abu Dhabi


JOB OVERVIEW:

The Bartender is responsible for the upkeep, presentation and maintenance of all beverage stock, storage and service equipment. The Bartender mixes and dispenses drinks in accordance with the standard recipes of the outlet and entertains guests in a professional manner. A bartender is also responsible for giving correct stocks in accordance with requisitions and checking stocks.

All work is carried out in line with the hotel’s guidelines, the departmental business plan, and “Hotels and Resorts” corporate guidelines, and service concepts.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to the guest’s requests.

 Collect beverages from storeroom.

 Clean bar areas, prepare correct garnishes and ‘mise-en-place’.

 Maintain bar stock in accordance with established standards.

 Ensure security of beverage stock in the bar using key control procedures.

 Control beverage consumption of guests and stop serving when necessary.

 Report any shortages to Supervisor.

 Polish glasses and respect all hygiene rules in serving beverages.

 Promote up selling at all levels and by personal efforts through guest’s contacts.

 Perform other duties that may be assigned by manager.

 Report any breakages to Bar Supervisor.

 Liaise with Wait staff in regard to out of stock items during service.

 Co-operate with the company to achieve compliance with FLS legislation.

 Take moral and legal responsibility for conducting themselves in their work so they do not expose themselves or others to risk.

 Be responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of the bar area at all times ensuring that all daily cleaning schedules are maintained.

 Be responsible for the correct storage and placement of all beverage and food stock, rotating all stock to ensure that there is no spoilage.

 Ensure that the stock held in the bar is safe and secure at all times.

 Record any new cocktail recipes encountered that local clients favour and ensure these are filed accordingly.

 Ensure that there is no wastage of items that can be re-used by the bar or by the kitchen and that any item that can be used is sent to the appropriate department.


EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


High school diploma or equivalent with minimum of 1-2 years’ experience.

High school diploma or equivalent. Has of experience in a similar role.

 Energetic

 Good communication & interpersonal skills

 Positive & Upbeat Character.

 You should be processing a good knowledge in both written and spoken English.

 Has Bar Training and Mixology courses

 Familiar with Micros
