Our client is well-established automotive spare parts distributor with over 20,000 SKUs. We are recruiting a UAE experienced demand planner from the automotive spare parts sector to join their Dubai head office. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the required quantities of spare parts are available at the right time to meet sales demands while minimizing excess inventory. Candidates must have extensive experience in demand planning, supply planning, S&OP, inventory management in a SAP environment. This is a 6 day week role. Role Summary
Accurate forecasting for optimal on shelf availability and replenishment - forecast and maintain demand by SKU in SAP IBP on a monthly basis.
Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory
Report and analyze forecast KPIs based on historical sales trends, demand drivers, and the root causes of forecast bias and variations.
Prepare action plans for slow-moving and obsolete product lines (SLOB).
Supplier evaluations – lead time, accuracy order fulfillment
Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
5 – 8 years’ comprehensive demand forecasting and planning utilizing with a proven track record of successful inventory forecasting and planning in a high SKU-count environment using SAP APO.
Complex data analysis and forecasting skills using business intelligence for replenishment order calculations, identifying trends and root causes of deviations.
Strong mathematical skills for developing robust statistical models.
Manage and optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability and cost reduction.
Deep understanding of drivers of base sales trends (previous years and YOY), upside and downside scenarios.
Intermediate SQL skills are preferred, and Excel proficiency is required.
Education & Certification
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management
CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) Certification is a strong advantage.
Candidate Profile
Currently living in the United Arab Emirates – must be able to live and work in Dubai.
Fluent in English.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
