Associate Specialist, Payroll
Job Description:-
This position is responsible for:-
- Timely & accurate deposits and Reporting of US Federal/State/Local/County; Unemployment & back up withholding taxes;
- providing customer service on Payroll tax issues to business and employees;
- performing Tax research, registration and correspondence;
- assisting with State registrations and Multi-State reporting;
- providing support for tax audits;
- performing system testing of new authorities, tax types, pay elements, Tax rules & rate changes;
- driving process improvements and automation;
- handling special projects as assigned.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or business equivalent
- Knowledge of US Federal, state, local payroll tax regulations
- Knowledge of payroll information systems, business application systems and personal computer skills is required. Experience in Workday is preferred.
- Good communication skills and at least 2 years experience of working within a payroll or tax environment.
- High level of energy, self-direction, motivation, follow-through and issue ownership
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel and other database applications
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving and continuous process improvement skills
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays
