Job Description: L3Harris is seeking an Associate Software Engineer (Level 1) to join a great team of talented professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, integration and support of software development and software configuration management tools.
Essential Functions:
Entry-level software engineer, responsible for development, testing and maintenance of software solutions Work closely within team to grasp project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test of embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical equipment Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting and resolving software issue Develop software test procedure and relevant technical documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution Relevant internships or projects demonstrating practical coding experience Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development tools Understanding of basic data structures, algorithms, and database concepts Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Adaptability, quick learning and be able to operate with little supervision Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Excellent writing skills
