Job Description

Job Summary

To manage smooth functioning of the entire IT applications portfolio for IFFCO, thus ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and availability of all IT application services, while optimizing costs of providing the services.




Roles & Responsibilities
  • Understand the leading practices in IT systems and processes and devise mechanisms for effective and efficient implementation of the processes across the group.
  • Introduce automation in the processes so as to reduce turn-around time (TAT), reduce costs and implement effective vendor management.
  • Create and ensure implementation of business applications for effective management of all of IFFCO’s transactions.
  • Define development processes, methodologies, and tools and standards for IT development. 
  • Ensure that these are in line with the overall guidelines implemented in IFFCO.
  • 5.    Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development and support of all IT applications
  • 6.    Work closely with the Group Director – Finance and other seniors finance team members and understand the system architecture, application requirements, business outcomes and key success measures for all the applications developed
  • Ensure that the team understands all data flow requirements, statutory requirements, reporting and data security requirements so that the same are incorporated in the designed application.
  • Identify how the systems and processes can be improved by liaising with the team and take corrective action if needed.
  • Proactively discuss with the funciton heads and business heads to identify issues in the applications and implement measures to improve the same.
  • Work with business unit leaders to review application performance and determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.
  • Ensure that the system testing procedures and Go-Live support is as per the functional requirement and aligned to the overall IT strategy of the organization
  • Identify, review and manage the entire vendor selection process from the Request For Proposals (RFPs) stage to the vendor selection phase
  • Ensure successful on-boarding of the vendors and act as a PMO to effectively manage projects and ascertain that quality standards are maintained
  • Liaise with the vendors to develop new applications to make processes more efficient and increase the functionality of the applications
  • Provide day to day support to various teams and ensure that the applications are running smoothly
  • Define and communicate the SLAs for application development, application feedback and query resolution for all the applications
  • Ensure integration between all the applications for easy functioning of the business and resolve any queries raised by business units for the effective performance of the applications
  • Support the team in proper reporting and data analysis, and draw meaningful insights for the team
  • Implement effective benefits management - clarify the systems’ planned benefits and intended outcomes and monitor their ability to deliver against these benefits and outcomes
  • Support the business in handling escalations of queries related to IT Applications 
  • Implement change management to prepare, equip and support employees to successfully adopt to the new systems by running campaigns, trainings and addressing all queries 
  • Allocate work to subordinates, nominate for training as per guidelines, conduct performance reviews and manage leave and overtime to ensure efficiency.
  • Participate in the identification of training and development initiatives for all subordinates
  • Drive the engagement and satisfaction of the team through holding periodic meetings to discuss the achievements and address any employee issues and/or concerns. Build an effective, efficient and motivated team

Work experience requirement

Minimum 8+ years of related experience in a large organization, preferably in a similar industry




Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
  • MBA or post graduate degree in technology/systems is desirable
