This is an opportunity to work on a large mixed-use water-font development in the UAE.

  • Leadership support of the implementation of placemaking, masterplanning and urban design function and its effectiveness in meeting business, statutory, legal, and contractual requirements. leading the masterplan team and providing reporting on progress of options to client leadership.
  • Leadership support of the urban design team including accountability for remuneration, mobility and development.
  • Acts as an enabler for change, and business improvement. 
  • Accountable for delivering delegated elements of an annual business plan.
  • Provides strategic advice to senior leadership on urban design matters.
  • Chairs Urban Design business improvement workshops.
  • Line management of urban design team members.
  • Accountable for an external certification programme, leading specific activities.
  • Oversees external certifications.
  • Responsible for external audit programme including preparing for and management of.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of internal audit programme.
  • Manages investigations and root cause analysis of instances of non-conformance, including the identification of corrective measures and long-term preventative measures.
  • Leads and reviews management system content for appropriateness, improvement, and implementation.
  • Participates in the identification of new systems and processes and lead their development & implementation.
  • Delivers the urban design communication strategy.
  • Recommends actions to mitigate risk and improve effectiveness of a management system.
  • Supports business development activities
  • Manages the monitoring of performance of a supply chain.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:


  • Experience working in the United Arab Emirates is essential for client approval. 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communications skills and customer focus.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines alone and as part of a team.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships across a business and with all levels of management.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and to make appropriate decisions.
  • Line management experience.

  • Leads others effectively.
  • Ability to influence and persuade senior management towards a desired course of action.
