AtkinsRéalis is looking for Associate Director – Procurement

We create sustainable solutions that connect people, data and technology to transform the world's infrastructure and energy systems. We deploy global capabilities locally to our clients and deliver unique end-to-end services across the whole life cycle of an asset including consulting, advisory & environmental services, intelligent networks & cybersecurity, design & engineering, procurement, project & construction management, operations & maintenance, decommissioning and capital. The breadth and depth of our capabilities are delivered to clients in strategic sectors such as Engineering Services, Nuclear and Capital.  News and information are available at www.atkinsrealis.com or follow us on LinkedIn.

Key Attributes

As Associate Director you’ll be the first point of contact for senior stakeholders looking for advice and guidance in all aspects of procurement. Whether that is focused on procurement of Sub-Consultants to help support the delivery of projects for AtkinsRéalis, supporting our Win-Work teams on future opportunities, or offering advisory services to client organisations, this is a dynamic service with many customers.

The day-to-day role will require you to work with internal stakeholders from across the business, (regional and international) and interface directly with a variety of clients. This will require a well-rounded, deep technical and operational knowledge of procurement, ideally gained from experience working successfully for established client organisations, consultants and/or contractors on large-scale programmes and projects.

This will need to be combined with a genuine flair for stakeholder management, strategic thinking, leadership, networking, and ability to build strong working relationships that deliver results.

Energy and drive will be essential attributes at your disposal, alongside a natural motivation to keep procurement at the forefront of best practice: constantly looking beyond existing boundaries to identify innovative approaches and best practice regionally and internationally that could deliver improved outcomes for us and our clients.

The role currently has limited direct line management responsibility, however, as we build and establish the procurement capability within the Region, procurement professionals from within the operations teams will look to you to provide support, guidance and best practice. The role will require the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with these teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Procurement profession.
  • Experience of developing and implementing functional change programmes / business improvement initiatives.
  • Experience of managing teams. Preferably both local and remote locations.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivery and driving operational excellence in commercial and procurement in large programmes (infrastructure and/or built environment).
  • Experience of working in a client focused environment, working closely with key stakeholders, colleagues and other consultants to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to effectively respond to client opportunities.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end procurement processes, from inception through to implementation; with the ability to engage and collaborate with all levels of stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Degree qualified. Relevant construction, business or engineering related discipline.
  • Professional chartered membership with CIPS, RICS or equivalent.
  • Preferred – experience on the Middle East infrastructure and/or build environment market.
  • Preferred – experience in project management.
