Job Description
The Market Development division is accountable for driving the strategy and execution of the business development activities of ADGM. The Market Development Division has 3 Strategic clusters and many sub-clusters. The Associate Director role heads a cluster/key sub-cluster .
The Associate Director is responsible for attracting businesses within the cluster to ADGM and for building functional and subject matter expertise capabilities and the team required to drive successful market development initiatives for the assigned cluster.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and growth plan of the cluster and ensure full alignment with the overall Market Development’s strategy to achieve the divisional objectives.
- Take accountability for the financial management of the Cluster, including the development and implementation of the annual budget
- Drive and participate in committees, where necessary, and ensure close coordination with Strategy, MarComms and other ADGM authorities and corporate services in order to maintain a streamlined value chain of operations
Target clients, Clusters and regions management
- Identify and map Anchor and strategic clients for the cluster
- Identify and build relationships with strategic market partners – Chambers, Industry bodies etc
- Set and achieve growth targets, and success factors for driving both new client acquisition and existing client development
- Develop and implement processes and frameworks for ensuring efficient acquisition, relationship and retention of Anchor clients
- Ensure Record, Review and report Cluster pursuits, activities and progress
- Continuously monitor domestic and international markets to gather market intelligence on current and future needs of target markets
- Oversee the efficient management of a network of channel partners and influencers, including the development and retention of this network, as a key catalyst for developing client accounts
Value proposition management and internal processes improvements
- Define, develop, create and execute ADGM’s member and partner ecosystem strategy around a specific number of strategic market initiatives
- Oversight on continuous enhancement of ADGM’s offering by developing innovative offerings and continually improving the content of and market awareness of ADGM sectorial value propositions
- Ensure alignment of development initiatives and business development activities with ADGM and authority-specific regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on solutions and services offered by competitors
- Identify development areas in processes and systems, recommend changes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the client experience and the acquisition, on-boarding, retention, relationship management operating model
Information Security related
- Understand, adopt, adhere and practice responsibilities or controls as per ADGM Information Security policy and as per best practices explained in the induction and awareness sessions.
- Confidentiality, Integrity and availability of the ADGM Information shall be maintained at all times i.e. within as well as outside ADGM.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree
- Work Experience
- Min. 12-14 years of relevant experience
