Job Summary:
We are in search of an accomplished and dynamic professional to join our expanding Business Development team as the Assistant Vice President. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the insurance industry. This role is pivotal in driving our growth strategy and expanding our market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of business opportunities through proactive outreach, client referrals, and leveraging our existing portfolio.
- Consistently strive to exceed sales performance targets and contribute to the overall business growth.
- Formulate, negotiate, and execute comprehensive sales proposals that encompass our entire range of products.
- Provide strategic business support to the senior leadership team as required.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with both potential and existing clients.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our business strategy.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Strategically plan customer acquisition initiatives and remain informed about the latest industry developments.
- Gather and analyze client-related information to ensure thorough due diligence.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Create and disseminate thought leadership content in collaboration with the IM Marketing team whilst coordinating and participating in market seminars, conferences, and Alfred events to enhance brand visibility and engage with industry professionals.
- Research trends and emerging topics to inform and shape thought leadership content
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (Master’s degree and Technical qualifications from CII preferred).
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in business development within the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of insurance products and market dynamics.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM software, and other relevant tools.
