Job Description
The Assistant Technical Director will assist, manage and supervise the productions and classes of Performing Arts Program with lighting and sound.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all technical aspects of the Performing Arts Program, including setting up, designing, and implementing lighting and sound designs for events.
- Assist the director with lighting and sound design.
- Set up and test sound equipment for music events.
- Set up lighting for music and theater events.
- Organize and maintain inventory for technical equipment.
- Advise and assist faculty members in mentoring students on all technical aspects of the productions.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- A degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar field.
- Experience in light designing and programming.
- Proficient in live sound engineering and management.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- 5 years of experience.
- Proficient in acoustics, live sound mixing/setup, lighting design, and equipment handling for professional-quality performances.
- Ability to tailor sound and lighting setups for various performance types, including music, dance, and drama. Experience with light board programming, working directly with the director.
- Skilled in PA system setup and EQ/mastering of live instrumental and vocal sound, including mixing and editing.
