Job Title: Home Healthcare Nurse Assistant (NGT, PEG Tube, and Tracheostomy Care Experience Required)

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Home Healthcare Nurse Assistant to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Nasogastric Tube (NGT), Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) tube care, and Tracheostomy (Tach) care. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in the home setting, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being while supporting recovery and managing medical devices.
Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
Help patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning as needed.
Administer prescribed medications and assist with feeding through NGT or PEG tube.
Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to the supervising nurse.
Provide NGT and PEG tube care, including tube feeding, cleaning, and ensuring tube patency.
Assist in Tracheostomy (Tach) care, including cleaning and maintaining the tracheostomy site and ensuring proper function.
Assist registered nurses with other clinical procedures, including wound care and basic medical treatments.
Support patients with respiratory care and ensure proper positioning for comfort and safety.
Accurately document patient health information, daily care activities, and any changes in condition.
Maintain up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Track the usage and condition of medical equipment, including feeding tubes and tracheostomy supplies.
Provide patients and families with education on NGT, PEG tube, and Tracheostomy care, emphasizing safety, hygiene, and emergency procedures.
Reinforce care instructions and health guidelines provided by registered nurses or healthcare professionals.
Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean home healthcare environment.
Ensure that all medical equipment, including feeding tubes and tracheostomy supplies, are sanitized and maintained.
Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions to the healthcare team immediately.
Provide emotional and psychological support to patients, offering comfort, reassurance, and companionship during their care journey.
Assist patients and their families in managing the emotional aspects of long-term or complex care.
Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum 2 years).
DHA/DOH License as a Nurse Assistant (active or in process).
Valid Home Country Nursing License.
Good Standing Certificate.
Current BLS certification.
At least 1 year of recent clinical experience in a nursing or healthcare role, with hands-on experience in NGT, PEG tube, and Tracheostomy care.
Experience in home healthcare is highly preferred.
Experience with NGT, PEG tube, and Tracheostomy care (knowledge of tube feeding, suctioning, and related procedures).
In-depth understanding of infection control and safety protocols.
Strong clinical competence in basic nursing care and medical device management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage complex care tasks in a home environment.
Compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care and family support.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Able to understand basic Arabic (but not a requirement).
