Job Description
Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for effectively managing all security-related activities within the designated portfolio to maintain order and safeguard company personnel and assets.
Key Accountabilities:
- Respond and escalate incidents related to fire, bomb threats, hazardous incidents, natural disasters, and infrastructure failures in accordance with department protocols to minimize damage and maintain a safe environment.
- Enhance physical security measures for VIP visits and events and ensure a safe and secure environment for all participants.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of the risk control framework and provide suggestions for improvements to reduce the likelihood of security incidents.
- Allocate security resources efficiently based on the needs of the organization to ensure efficient delivery of security operations
- Supervise key backup storage and ensure the secure storage and handover of keys in accordance with established protocols.
- Respond, record, and report incidents and thoroughly investigate and document them, and report findings to the section head in a timely manner.
- Investigate and assess the causes of incidents, report findings to the line manager, and provide recommendations to minimize the likelihood of similar incidents in the future.
- Perform planned and unplanned inspections to ensure safety measures are effective and in line with security standards.
- Supervise and monitor area patrols to identify and eliminate security hazards and situations.
- Ensure proper handling of lost and found items by collecting and preserving them, updating the tracker, and handing over unclaimed items to authorities or disposing of them in accordance with security procedures.
- Assist with inspections and testing to detect safety hazards and ensure safety rules are implemented.
- Consolidate daily reports of security incidents and submit them to the line manager to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Resolve conflicts and disputes fairly and effectively by presenting facts and details in accordance with reporting practices to ensure fair resolution within the designated portfolio.
- Manage coordination with relevant agencies, government authorities, first responders, and investigation agencies in investigating and handling incidents involving customers, guests, or staff.
- Ensure compliance with regulations- SIRA and other relevant authorities' regulations by implementing policies, procedures, processes, standards, and other documents related to security operations.
- Assist with periodic review and update of emergency plans, response programs, and internal control manuals to ensure compliance at the assigned location.
- Manage and monitor the performance of third-party service provider to deliver quality and timely services meeting standards.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with the emergency response team and crisis management team and participate in emergency planning and preparedness activities to ensure that security measures are integrated with emergency response procedures.
Qualifications, Experiences, Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Operations/ Management; Master’s degree preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) - preferred
