About The Role

As Assistant Manager you will lead buying and merchandising activities across the owned and operated retail outlets in Atlantis Dubai and Aquaventure World. Person in this role works along the Manager to ensure a strong product assortment mix and diverse range of merchandise that aligns with customer preferences and the retail outlet themes. Under the general guidance of Director of Retail you will support in execution of merchandise plans based on sales data, market trends and seasonal demands.

Key duties and responsibility of the role include:

• Supporting with pricing and commercial terms negotiations with suppliers to ensure cost- effective purchasing whilst maintaining product quality
• Keeping up to date with merchandise trends relevant to the retail outlets from market research and making product and merchandising suggestions
• Monitoring sales data to forecast inventory needs and optimize stock levels preventing overstocking or stock outs
• Management of replenishment of direct purchase and consignment requirements including importation paperwork in coordination with the logistics department
• Promoting effective communication and adequate information flow within the retail division and across the resort

About You

We’re looking for candidates with demonstrated experience in buying, merchandising or category management, preferably in the leisure, attraction, or cultural retail sector. Previous experience working with various product categories within a multi-site setup is preferred. Person in this role should have excellent communication skills and comfortably build relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers. You will have previous experience working with sales and revenue data and be able to make informed decisions in line with the department objectives. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
