SmartStay is a holiday homes company that offers luxury furnished apartments in prime locations like Downtown Dubai. At SmartStay, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and reliability to our clients. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant Manager to lead and oversee our housekeeping team.


The Role: Assistant Housekeeping Manager 


The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Assistant Manager is to ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and outstanding presentation of our apartments while managing and supervising the housekeeping team. This role is crucial in maintaining SmartStay’s high standards and providing guests with an exceptional experience.


Responsibilities:


  • Establish and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring timely apartment turnovers for guest check-ins.
  • Supervise and coordinate the housekeeping team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of apartments to maintain cleanliness and identify any maintenance or service issues.
  • Address guest concerns or special requests related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
  • Work closely with the maintenance and guest relations team to report damages and ensure quick resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for conducting quarterly PPM and deep cleaning of apartments.
  • Assist in sourcing suppliers required for quality and cost-efficient operation of the team.
  • Oversee the inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, are strictly followed.
  • Maintain housekeeping records, track team performance, and provide reports to management.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping attendants and housekeeping supervisors to enhance performance and maintain company standards.
  • Assist in recruiting and onboarding new housekeeping team members.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant manager housekeeping role within a hospitality, hotel, or holiday home environment.
  • A valid UAE driving license is required.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to train and manage a team effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Proficiency in using mobile apps for checklists, reporting, and scheduling tasks
  • Familiarity with software like Breezeway, monday.com, Hostaway is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, as per operational requirements.
  • Must be available to start immediately.
