Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and monitor progress within the Key Stage, ensuring high expectations and standards across all aspects of school life.
Articulate and implement a vision for the Key Stage aligned with the school's ethos.
Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and behaviour management, working closely with teaching staff, Heads of Subject, and other leaders. Foster a positive learning environment, promoting student development, wellbeing, and high engagement in school activities. Drive the implementation of the High Performance Learning framework, ensuring staff and students are motivated and supported to achieve excellence. Manage resources effectively, ensuring efficient use of staff time and budget allocation. Provide leadership and professional development for staff, driving continuous improvement and fostering a collaborative culture.
Skills
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven leadership and management experience in a school setting, ideally within a Key Stage or similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, student progress tracking, and behaviour management. Commitment to promoting the wellbeing and academic success of students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage staff, students, parents, and external partners. Ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve shared goals and drive improvement.

Education Dubai, United Arab Emirates GEMS Founders Al Mizhar School (GFM) is a value for money National Curriculum of England School which opened in September 2018 modelled on the highly successful GEMS Founders Dubai School. It educates students from FS1 to Year 12 and will build to a full FS to Year 13 School of 4800 students in subsequent years.
