GEMS Winchester School Dubai is seeking an experienced and dynamic
Deputy Head Teacher with a strategic focus on
assessment, intervention, and school-wide data management. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in ensuring high academic standards and student outcomes through effective use of data-driven decision-making and systems management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on
assessment and intervention strategies to improve student progress and attainment across the secondary phase. Oversee the
collection, analysis, and interpretation of student data to inform teaching, learning, and whole-school improvement. Implement and refine
data-driven intervention programs to support students in meeting their academic potential. Oversee the design and management of the
secondary school timetable, ensuring efficiency and alignment with curriculum needs. Develop and maintain
effective systems and processes for tracking student progress, reporting, and supporting teachers in data usage. Work closely with subject leaders and pastoral teams to embed a
culture of high expectations and accountability. Provide professional development and training for staff on
assessment best practices, data literacy, and targeted interventions. Contribute to the
strategic leadership of the school, working closely with the Head of Secondary and Principal. Foster a collaborative and supportive school environment that aligns with GEMS Education’s vision and values.
Skills
Successful candidates will need to:
A
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject; a
Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership is desirable. A minimum of
5 years of leadership experience in a secondary school setting. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. A passion for
raising student achievement and supporting staff development.
